Remedies to treat pimples quickly

  • pimple problem
    • Two or three hours prior to going to bed (or if you are sitting at home in the day), wash your face, then dab a little toothpaste (not the gel types) or Intaglio’s clarifying clay mask on the entire pimple. Let it sit for at least 30 min or sleep with it on, then wash away. Repeat this for a few days. You’ll notice it will go away faster than if you just wash it.
    • Drink lots of water! Always keep a bottle of water in your car, in your purse or at your desk. Not only does it leave your skin soft and younger-looking, it also fights acne. Also, try to stay away from processed food. Eat food that is alive – fruits and vegetables are very good.
    • Use a facial Antioxident spray (try Jane Iredales Antioxident Spray with green Tea extract) to balance the skin’s oil production.
    • Use cornmeal to exfoliate your face – it’s a home remedy that has worked for me in the past. It helps eliminate blackheads, and I rarely get any blackheads. I have also tried, Intaglio’s Clear Sal Cleanser-2: Antibacterial Gel penetrates deep into the pores and helps to reduce bacteria and excess oil. Exfoliate for clearer softer skin! Scrub away old skin cells. Very helpful for fine blackheads on the nose! Try it and you will love it! I have used two great products in the past: Intaglio Exfoliating Liquid Luffa-0 and Phytomer’s Gommage.
    • If you are a girl and you wear a lot of makeup. If you know that you aren’t going anywhere for the weekend or the whole day, don’t put any cover-up on. Give your skin a chance to breathe for a while. If you really need to wear makeup, try Jane Iredales Mineral Makeup Bases – this line can cover and disguises skin imperfections and doesn’t clog your skin. Also, another great product is Jane Iredales Disappear Camouflage Cream – it contains Green tea extract that has also been documented to combat acne bacteria!
    • Always use a moisturizer after drying out your face. Sometimes your worst acne is on dry skin, so go easy on the alcohol and astringents! This is where I went wrong in the past!
    • Use a tea tree oil on your face. I seen it on TV on Oprah. It not only flattens the pimples, but also dramatically reduces the redness of the acne. You can get a bottle at most, if not all, beauty supply stores. (try Le Petit Spa’s Tea Tree Lotion – I have used it for my after waxing treatment as well!)
    • Keep your hair and hair products off face. I have found this extremely important as I have a lot of hair and use many hair products that seem to effect my face skin. I know for a fact that when I put my hair up in a poney tail for 2 days, my face clears up!
    • Steam it out – Every time I have a pimple, I usually put a steaming hot washcloth over it to open the pore. If you desperately think you need to pop the zit, make sure your hands are clean, then wrap tissue around your ring fingers. Push gently and if nothing comes out, stop!
    • What most people don’t realize is that pimples are also caused by puberty for most teenagers. The one way you can clear acne up, however, is to drink lots of water, use facial cleansers and lay off all the unnecessary sugary products, like soda.
